Regional Institute of Medical Sciences is situated in Imphal, Manipur. The college was established as a joint venture of the North Eastern States in 1972. It is affiliated to Manipur University. The institute is aimed at giving good training to produce qualified and competent doctors. Regional Institute of Medical Sciences Imphal has received approval of Medical Council of India (MCI) New Delhi and recognized by the state government. The college provides number of opportunities to its students to gain practical experiences under careful supervision of highly skilled faculty. Regional Institute of Medical Sciences Imphal is aimed at imparting medical education in North Eastern states.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in English and Physics, Chemistry and Biology each from any recognized board. For SC/St the qualifying marks 40% is acceptable. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission, and not crossed the age of 35 years.
Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidates must have qualified for the MBBS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India and must have at least experience of 2 years in medically underserved areas, recognized as such by the institution.
Post Graduate:
Candidate must have passed MBBS degree from a medical college recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and who has obtained full registration either from MCI or any of the state council after passing final MBBS examination and has completed one year Internship.
