A graduate candidate in any stream from a recognized university is eligible for the course.
Post Graduate:
A candidate who has completed his/her post graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university is eligible. Also, a candidate having done the. B.T. or B.Ed., any other degree equivalent to B.T. or B.Ed. degree of the Panjab University can apply for the course.

Undergraduate:
For the admission in the B.Ed course a Joint B. Ed entrance test is conducted by any one of the three universities, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Panjab University and Patiala University. 85% seats are reserved for resident candidates of Punjab state.
Post Graduate:
Admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in M.Ed. Entrance Test conducted by P.U., Chd. and percentage of marks obtained in B.Ed. course.
