Punjab National Nursing School, located in Dera Bassi, offers three and half years of diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (G.N.M) course at undergraduate level. The college is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC), Delhi, Punjab Nursing Registration Council (PNRC) and Government of Punjab. In order to fulfill its aim of training aspirants as well qualified and skilled nurses, the nursing institution intends to impart high standards of education to them. Punjab National Nursing School also boasts of being equipped with all the basic facilities required for smooth conduct of the course.

The candidates, who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board in science stream with not less than 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate marks, are eligible. In addition, the candidates are required to be aged between 17 years to 35 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
