Located in Trichur/Thrissur (Kerala), PSM College of Dental Sciences & Research was established by PS Educational & Charitable Trust. The college started functioning in 2007. Renowned as one of the forefront institutes in the country, the college is affiliated to University of Calicut and has been approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI), New Delhi. Currently, PSM College of Dental Sciences & Research imparts an undergraduate course, namely, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The course is a four-and-half-year program, which is followed by one year of compulsory rotating internship. Every year, the college enrolls as many as 100 students to the course.

To be eligible, the aspirants must have passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, from any recognized Board. The candidates, who have possessed B.Sc degree of University of Kerala or any other recognized University with at least 50% marks, are also eligible for this course.
