Podhigai College of Engineering & Technology was started in 2009 under the aegis of Kamraj Educational Trust and is situated in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. Candidates who have passed 10+2, or its equivalent, with mathematics as one of the subjects from any recognized board/university with minimum 55% (Open Category), 50% (Backward Class), and 45% (Major Backward Class) aggregate marks are eligible to apply for the BE courses. Candidates falling under SC/ST category should secure a pass in the same examination to be eligible for the course.

Selection is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and as per norms of Anna University of Technology, Chennai.
