NIT Warangal

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, which was formerly known as Regional Engineering College, came into existence in 1959. The institute got the status of a Deemed University in 2002 and renamed as National Institute of Technology. At the time of its establishment, NIT Warangal was affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University. Later in 1976, the college got its affiliation from Kakatiya University. The institute offers various programmes in the field of engineering at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate level. NIT Warangal provides state-of-the-art facilities to ensure comfortable study environment within its campus.

Doctorate:

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Student should have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent, with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology as optional subject.

Post Graduate:
M.Tech
For admission into M.Tech course a student should have cleared B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree exam in the subject concerned from a recognized University/ Institution with first class and minimum 60% aggregate marks. SC/ST and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates need to score 55% aggregate marks.

M Sc
For admission into MSc course one should have passed BSc or equivalent degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University / Institution with First Class and not less than 60% aggregate marks. SC/ST and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates need to score 55% aggregate marks.

MCA
Minimum 60% marks are required in the 12th level and Bachelors Degree examination from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects. The SC/ST candidates with minimum 55% marks (6.0/10 CGPA) are eligible.

MBA
Candidates must have passed graduation in any stream, from any recognized University.

Doctorate:
Minimum educational qualification required for admission into PhD programme is first class MTech / ME / MS / MBA / MPhil or equivalent degree, or B Tech / BE /MSc /MSc (Tech) / MA or equivalent degree scoring minimum 60% marks in the aggregate (55% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates).
Admission Procedure:

Undergraduate:
Admission to BTech programme is made through AIEEE conducted on an all India level. 50% of the total seats are reserved for domicile candidates belonging to the Andhra Pradesh state and the remaining 50% of seats are filled on all India basis.

Entrance Test: AIEEE Exam

Post Graduate:
M.Tech
Admissions to M. Tech. programmes are done on the basis of performance of the candidates in All India Level Entrance Exam - GATE.

M Sc
Candidates are admitted into MSc/ MSc (Tech) programmes on grounds of the Rank obtained in NITWET. NITWET (National Institute of Technology Warangal Entrance Test) is a National Level Entrance Test being conducted for admission into various M. Sc. Programmes at NIT Warangal.

MBA
Admissions are conducted in MBA course on the basis of performance in entrance examinations CAT or JMET or MAT or ATMA and Group Discussion and Personal interview conducted at the institute.

MCA
Admission is made through entrance test NIMCET conducted by MNNIT, Allahabad. The selection is based on performance in interview and/or written test.

Doctorate:
The selection is based on performance in interview and written test.
