Established in 1946, National Institute of Engineering is located in Mysore, Karnataka. The college is a premiere technical institution in the state. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum. Currently, NIE Mysore offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in several branches of engineering. Courses conducted by the college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. National Institute of Engineering is spread across 6-acres campus, which consists of ample basic amenities for the overall development of its students.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Candidates need 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level of PU/CBSE. English should be a compulsory subject. Those, who have done 3-year diploma course from a recognized university/college, with 50% marks in the final examination, can also apply.

Post Graduate:
Applicants require BE/BTech in the relevant disciplines.

Doctorate:
Applicants need a Postgraduate degree in the relevant disciplines.
Admission Procedure:

Undergraduate:
Criteria for merit-based selection is based on Karnataka CET. Engineering diploma holders can directly get admission in the third semester.

Entrance Test: Karnataka CET

Post Graduate:
The candidate should appear for PGCET Entrance examination conducted by VTU Belgaum. Applicants with GATE score are also eligible.
