Motilal Nehru Medical College was established in 1961. Situated in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, the medical college was founded precisely after 100 years of its suggestion, by the British, in 1861. During the year, five Indian cities including Bombay, Madras, Calcutta, Lahore and Allahabad were proposed for opening medical colleges in the country. The institute is affiliated to the University of Allahabad. Motilal Nehru Medical College offers a variety of courses recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Motilal Nehru Medical College has grown into a reputed institution over the years and is arguably one of the finest medical colleges in North India. The college got its name after Pt. Motilal Nehru, who was the father of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, as he was a major enthusiast and supported the cause of establishing a medical college in Allahabad. The candidate should have passed Intermediate Science Examination (Biology Group) or an equivalent HSE (Higher Secondary Examination), from any recognized board.
Post Graduate Diploma:
