Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad was founded in the year of 1961 by the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The institute was previously known with the name of Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad.
In 2002, MNNIT Allahabad got the status of Deemed University. Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology provides various degree programs in the engineering field to the students. MNNIT Allahabad admits nearly 500 students to undergraduate programs and another 150 students to postgraduate programs every year.

Undergraduate:Minimum qualification for the UG courses is that the candidate should have passed his or her Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent. Those candidates who are appearing in this exam are also eligible.
Post Graduate:ME / M Tech
To be eligible, the candidate should have Bachelor?s degree in the relevant field from any recognized University or its equivalent.
M Sc
The aspirant should have hold Bachelor?s degree in Science or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects with 60% marks.
MCA
Graduation in B.Sc or its equivalent with Maths or Computer Science as one of the subjects with 60% of marks is must for the admission in this program.
MBA
The aspirants should have held their UG degree in Engineering or Technology or Science or an equivalent degree with Maths/Economics as one of the subjects in qualifying examination. Besides, the Candidates who are appearing in their final year of Bachelor?s degree allowed getting admission.

The admission is based on the GATE score of the candidate.

The admission is on the basis of the NIMCET or NIT MCA Common Entrance Test.
