Medical College Hospital Kolkata/Calcutta (West Bengal) holds the distinction of being the first medical college in Asia. The college was established in 1835 with the purpose of fulfilling the ever increasing demands of qualified and skilled doctors in India.  The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI), to conduct numerous courses at multiple levels.
