Located in the picturesque city of Manipal, in Karnataka, Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) aims at achieving excellence in the field of dental education. Formerly known as the College of Dental Surgery, the college was established in 1956 as the first self-financing dental college of India. During its inception, the institute was affiliated to Mysore University and then fell under the affiliation of Mangalore University before coming under the broad umbrella of Manipal University. MCODS Manipal offers some unique courses related to dental surgery which is first-of-its-kind and involves in a rich amalgamation of scientific theory and comprehensive dental care services. Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Candidates who have passed 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and scored at least 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together are eligible for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme. However, the candidates have to score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the MU-OET entrance test.

Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidates who have completed the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme from any recognized Institution, recognized by Dental Council of India and rotating internship on or before the starting of the new session are eligible for the PG Diploma Programme in Dental Materials.

Post Graduate:
Candidates who have completed the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme from any recognized Institution, recognized by Dental Council of India and rotating internship on or before the starting of the new session are eligible for the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme.

Doctorate:
Candidates who have completed the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme from any recognized Institution, recognized by Dental Council of India and have at least three years of general practice in relevant area are eligible for the Fellowship program in Dental Hygienist. Candidates having Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree in any clinical specialty are also eligible to apply for this programme. However, preference will be given to BDS degree holders.

Admission of the short listed candidates is made on the basis of rank obtained in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET), conducted by Manipal University.

Post Graduate:
Admission of the short listed candidates is made on the basis of rank obtained in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET), conducted by Manipal University.

Post Graduate Diploma:
Admission of the short listed candidates is made on the basis of rank obtained in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET), conducted by Manipal University.

Doctorate:
Admission of the short listed candidates into the fellowship program is based on the basis of merit and experience in relevant area.
