Founded by Manipal University in 1999, Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences (MCOAHS) is regarded as the first and largest institution in India which imparts extensive allied healthcare education. The institute is located within the sprawling campus of Manipal University and well furnished with all necessary state-of-the-art facilities to nurture future health care professionals. MCOAHS Manipal provides well qualified faculty members along with advanced departmental clinical facilities for several research and educational activities being supported by Kasturba Medical College and Manipal Institute of Technology. The institute offers various undergraduate and post graduate programs in allied health science subjects. Besides, the college imparts a pre-research program, M Phil in Clinical Psychology along with PG Diploma in Healthcare Counseling and Management (PGDHCM).

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Candidates who have completed 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade, or its equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry and English, with Biology or Mathematics as optional subjects, with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the optional subjects taken together are eligible for the undergraduate courses in several fields of allied health sciences.

Post Graduate Diploma:
Graduates in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences / candidates who have completed B Sc having Biology at least up to 10+2 level are eligible for the PG Diploma in Healthcare Counseling and Management (PGDHCM) program. Even those students who have appeared for their final year of graduation can also apply for the same program, subject to their successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree.

Post Graduate:
M Sc:
Candidates should have obtained Bachelors degree from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks to be eligible for the post graduate courses offered here.

M Phil:
Candidates who have completed post graduation like MA in Psychology or M Sc Psychology from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate are eligible for M Phil in Clinical Psychology.
Admission Procedure:

Undergraduate:
Admission of the selected candidates is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

Post Graduate:
Admission of short listed candidates is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, past academic and professional record, and a series of tests such as departmental written test, clinical examination, viva-voce, and interview, conducted by the institute itself.

Post Graduate Diploma:
Admission of selected candidates is held on the basis of merit in the written entrance test and personal interaction, conducted by the institute itself.
