Maharashtra Institute of Technology is managed by Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Education Research (MAEER). The institute, which is located in Pune (Maharashtra), came into existence in 1983. It is affiliated to Pune University. Maharashtra Institute of Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering. Most of its courses are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The admission seekers must have passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, from any recognized Board. The candidates with diploma in engineering are also eligible to apply.

Post Graduate:
ME / M Tech
The candidates should have done BE / B Tech, from any recognized University.

Graduation in any field is mandatory, to be eligible for this PG program.
Admission Procedure:

The admission criterion consists of MHT-CET / AIEEE entrance test.

Entrance Test: MHT CET, AIEEE Exam

Post Graduate:
M Tech / ME
For the admission in PG courses, GATE qualifiers are preferred.

Candidates are admitted through CET conducted by the DTE, Government of Maharashtra or CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/JMET entrance test, group discussion and personal interview.
