KRS College of Engineering is a self-financing institution incepted in 2009 under the graces of K.Nirmala Educational Trust. The college, located at Elangadu, in Thiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu, is built over green and spacious land, encircled with pollution free and pleasant atmosphere. The institute is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Chennai and offers All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi approved courses. Candidates seeking admission in B.E/B.Tech courses should have passed the 10+2/HSC examination of the State Board of High Secondary Education or any other equivalent examination as approved by Anna University of Technology with 60% (OC), 55% (BC), 50% (MBC), and pass (SC/ST) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together. However, they should appear in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Test, All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), or any state/national level test.

Selection is made on entrance test merit basis under the government quota and on the basis of qualifying examination (HSC) results under management quota directly on first-come-first-serve policy as per norms of Anna University of Technology, Chennai and government of Tamil Nadu.
