Jorhat Engineering College (JEC) is among the oldest engineering colleges in the country. Located in Jorhat (Assam), it was established in 1960 by the state Government of Assam. The college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. Jorhat Engineering College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. It offers engineering courses at the undergraduate level. The college also imparts a postgraduate program in computer applications. The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, from any recognized Board.

The candidates should have done graduation with Mathematics/Statistics or any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level.
