Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with Physics, Mathematics and any two amongst Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science and English as other optional subject.
Post Graduate:
Candidates must have a BE/BTech or equivalent degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
In case of MTech in Applied & Computational Mathematics, candidates must have a Masters Degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Operations Research / Computer Science with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
For being eligible for Lateral Entry into the IInd Year (Third Semester) of BTech program, applicants must have passed their three years diploma after completing their 10+2 in a single attempt, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate with Science and Mathematics from a State Board of Technical Education & Training.
Doctorate:
Candidate must have a Masters Degree in the desired discipline from a recognized university.
Dual:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or intermediate examination from a recognized board in science subjects.

Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). A section of seats are filled under management quota. Admission into the IInd Year (Third Semester) of BTech program is done on the basis of the Admission Entrance Test conducted by the university.

Post Graduate:
Admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
