Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research started functioning in 2006. The institute, which is located in Unnao (Uttar Pradesh), is managed and run by Saraswati Educational & Cultural Society. The college is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute is recognized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research imparts pharmaceutical study at the undergraduate level - Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy). The college admits 120 students every year to the four-year program.

The person must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics, from any recognized Board. For the lateral entry candidates, Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks is mandatory.
