Indian Institute of Science & Management is situated in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. To develop managers of high caliber, the college started imparting high standards of education in 1988. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Gradually, the college has made tremendous progress and currently, it is among the best management institutes in the region.
Indian Institute of Science & Management started functioning under the guidance of Dr.Sachchidanand, the then Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University. Currently, the college offers course in various branches of management studies, at the post graduate level. Apart from this, the college also conducts courses in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (Affiliated to State Board of Technical Education, Govt. of Jharkhand and approved by AICTE), along with bachelors in International Hospitality Administration, from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi (IGNOU), in Collaboration with American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, USA (AH&LEI).

The candidate should have successfully completed 10+2 in any stream with minimum of 50% marks, from a recognized Board.

The students are selected on the basis of their performance in Common Admission Test conducted by Jharkhand Combined Competitive Entrance Examination Board, Govt. of Jharkhand followed by group discussion and personal interview.
Post Graduate Diploma:
The selection of the candidate is based on their performance in MAT / CAT / ATMA / XAT, followed by group discussion and personal interview.
