The Institute is managed and run by Shail Garg Shiksha Sansathan, which is a Society. Inderprastha Engineering College is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (now known as Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Lucknow and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. One must have done 10+2 in science stream (PCM) with minimum 50% marks.

Applicants need Graduation in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 standard.
MBA
Students need Graduation in any discipline.

Candidates are selected through an Entrance Test (UPSEE) conducted by UP Technical University, Lucknow. 15% seats are resereved for management quota. AIEEE candidates can be admitted on management seats.
