IIT Hyderabad is one among the six new IITs in India. It is has made considerable achievements n a very short span of time. The institute started functioning from August 20, 2008, under the mentorship of IIT Madras. IIT Hyderabad is currently functioning from its own temporary campus at Yedumailaram, located in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. The foundation stone for the permanent campus was laid on February 27, 2009, by UPA Chairperson Smt Sonia Gandhi.
IIT Hyderabad currently offers graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in various branches of engineering. Apart from that, the college also intends to start graduate and postgraduate program in medical science from its campus in the near future. Moreover, courses in other departments of humanities and basic science would also be started in future.

Undergraduate:
Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate programs should have passed the +2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Post Graduate:
Candidates wishing to join the post graduate program should hold a B.Tech or a B.E, with first class in the respective field.
Doctorate:
Candidates should be postgraduate in the respective field.
