It is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and recognized by the state government. Government Medical College Patiala has gained the approval of Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. It offers several medical courses of various levels i.e. UG, PG and Diploma. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in English and Physics, Chemistry and Biology each from any recognized Board. For SC/St the qualifying marks 40% is acceptable. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission, and not crossed the age of 35 years.
Diploma:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in English and Physics, Chemistry and Biology each from any recognized board. For SC/St the qualifying marks 40% is acceptable. Minimum and maximum age limit is 17 to 35 years for this course.
Post Graduate:
Candidates must have qualified for the MBBS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India and must have at least experience of 2 years in medically underserved areas, recognized as such by this institution.
