Government College of Pharmacy is located in Karad, Maharashtra. The college was established in 1974 by the Government of Maharashtra under the Directorate of Technical Education. The pharmacy college is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Government College of Pharmacy Karad is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. It is also recognized by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. The college of pharmacy imparts undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in the field of pharmacy - Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) must have been passed by the candidates with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in science, from any recognized state/national Board.
Diploma:
The candidates need to have cleared Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate in PCB/PCM group of science subjects recognized by any Board.
Post Graduate:
The candidates should have completed B. Pharma with not less than 60% marks in aggregate, from any recognized University.

The admission of the candidates is done on the basis of their marks in MHT-CET entrance test. Admission is done as per the rules and regulations of the University.
