Located in a wide-spread area of 30 acres of land in Maharashtra, Government College of Engineering Aurangabad was started in 1960. The college is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. Govt Engineering College Aurangabad holds the distinction of given the status of an ‘A’ grade educational institution, by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. The college started by Government of Maharashtra has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, to conduct technical programs at under graduate as well as at post graduate level. Few of the programs offered by Government College of Engineering Aurangabad hold the accredited status. The facilities offered by the institute help in better understanding of the concepts.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
B E / B Tech
The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category) taken together.

Post Graduate:
ME / M. Tech
The candidates, having BE/B. Tech degree in relevant subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category) from a recognized institution, are eligible.

MCA
The applicant should have secured minimum of 55% marks in graduation. Relaxation of 5% is there for reserved category candidates. In addition, the applicant should have studied Mathematics or Statistics at 10+2 or at graduate level.
Admission Procedure:

Undergraduate:
B E / B Tech
Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in Maharashtra CET (MHT-CET)/ All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

Entrance Test: MHT CET, AIEEE Exam

Post Graduate:
ME / M. Tech
Admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). In case of non-availability of GATE candidates, scores of entrance test conducted by the college, followed by performance in interview is considered.

MCA
The candidates are selected as per their performance in qualifying examination, entrance test (MHT-CET) and interview.
