Government College of Engineering & Ceramic Technology is the oldest ceramic college of India. The college was established in 1941, by Professor Sasadhar Ray, an eminent educationist of West Bengal. Government College of Engineering & Ceramic Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college imparts undergraduate level course in the field of engineering and technology - Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). The institute imparts this UG level course under the affiliation of West Bengal University of Technology (WBTU). Government College of Engineering & Ceramic Technology is known for its placement record in ceramic technology and it has a number of modern amenities within its sprawling campus.
