College of Applied Science, located at Vadakkencherry, in Palakkad district of Kerala, is a self financing co-educational institute. The college was established in the year 1993 to impart quality and innovative science education for the people in and around Palakkad district. Managed by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), a Government of Kerala Undertaking, the college is outfitted with requisite infrastructural facilities within a technologically advanced learning hub. College of Applied Science Vadakkencherry is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The college offers a number of undergraduate and post graduate courses. Besides, the college conducts a unique course called PG Diploma in Audio Engineering, which is first-of-its-kind in Kerala.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates who have passed their 10+2 level examination from Kerala State Examination Board, or its equivalent, in science subjects can apply for B.Sc courses. Those who have completed the same in any subject are eligible to apply for the B.Com courses offered here.
Diploma:
Graduates in any subject with sense of music can apply for the PG Diploma in Audio Engineering.
Post Graduate:
Graduates with Mathematics, as a main subject at least up to 10+2 level, are eligible to apply for the MCA courses. Similarly, science graduates in relevant subject are eligible for the M.Sc courses offered here.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admission of the selected candidates is done on the basis of percentage of marks obtained by them in the 10+2 level and as per the norms of the University of Calicut.
Post Graduate:
Admission into post graduate courses is made as per the merit of the students and the norms set by the University of Calicut.
Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidates are offered admission as per the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by personal interview and written test, if required.
