College of Agriculture Shimoga, incepted in 1990 to impart education in agricultural sciences, is located in Shimoga district of Karnataka at the confluence of Rivers Tunga and Bhadra. The college is affiliated to the University of Agriculture Sciences Bangalore and accredited by Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The college conducts undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral courses in agricultural sciences. College of Agriculture Shimoga offers various training programs for farmers to make them of the different uses of pests and fertilizers. Distinguished alumni have been produced at the educational factory of the college who have excelled in their respective fields and placed the name of the college in the series of educational giants.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination, or its equivalent, with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics) from a recognized Board/University to be eligible for admission into the B.Sc course.

Post Graduate:
Science graduates having specialization in Botany and Agricultural Sciences from any recognized University/College can apply for the M.Sc course.

Doctorate:
Aspiring candidates should have passed the LS-NET / JRF examination conducted by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Human Recourses and Development Ministry.
