Christian Medical College (CMC) Ludhiana is an educational and research institution (medical science)of all India character established and run by the minority Christian community. CMC Ludhiana figures among one of the top medical colleges of India. Presently, Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society (Regd) runs three colleges, i.e., Christian Medical College, College of Nursing and Christian Dental College. It is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. 

CMC Ludhiana traces its origin to 1881 when the Medical Missionary work was started in Ludhiana by the Greenfield sisters, Miss Martha Rose and Miss Kay Greenfield. In 1894, the North Indian School of Medicine for Christian Women was established. This school was later converted into Women's Christian Medical College. In 1953, the name of the college was changed to Christian Medical College and the college was opened to both men and women students for the upgraded MBBS course.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
MBBS / BDS - Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate / Equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.

B Sc Nursing / BPT - Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate / Equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% (40% marks in case of SC/ ST/ OBC students) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with the subject English.

Diploma:
Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate / Equivalent Examination either with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) or Arts from a recognized Board with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.

DCPC - Minimum qualification required is that a candidate must have passed their Higher Secondary / Intermediate / Equivalent examination from a recognized Board.

DPMH – Minimum qualification required is that a candidate must have Bachelor Degree of a recognized University with 3 years of experience in Church related ministry.

Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidate must have MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and completed one year internship training.

Post Graduate:
M D - Candidate must have MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and completed one year internship training.

D M / M Ch - Candidate must have M D / M S degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.

M Sc Nursing - Candidate must have B Sc in Nursing Degree form a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
Admission Procedure:

Undergraduate:
Admission is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the UG – AWT (Undergraduate Admission Written Test) conducted by Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society.

Post Graduate:
Admission is done on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination.

M Sc Nursing - Admission to the M Sc Nursing Programme of this college is made according to the rules and regulations of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and of the Government as may be applicable to this college.

Diploma:
Admission is done on according to the rules & regulations of Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Indian Nursing Council of the Government as may be applicable.

DCPC / DPMH – Admission is done on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
