Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) Hyderabad is one of the premier educational institutions in the country today. It was established in the year 1979 and is affiliated to Osmania University. Initially, it provided 3 undergraduate courses with an intake of about 200 students. Later, by the year 2004, it grew to 8 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate courses with a total intake capacity of approximately 866 students.
The success of CBIT Hyderabad is the result of the vision and efforts of its management, which was headed by Late Justice Sri Konda Madhava Reddy, who was a noted Jurist. It was also the dedication of
administrative head Dr. V.Malakonda Reddy, founder Principal and Secretary which has helped the Chaitanya Institute of Technology to attain a very high status. The institution was accredited twice, once in 1998 and again in 2004 by AICTE. It is also the first ISO 9001-2000 certified engineering colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
