BLDEA's College of Engineering and Technology, located in Bijapur, Karnataka, is one of the renowned institutes of BLDEA (Bijapur Liberal District Education Association) Society, which runs several institutes in various fields. The college is also known as Dr. PG Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology, Bijapur. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, the institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accredited by Council of Architecture.
BLDEA's College of Engineering and Technology was incepted in 1980, by enrolling students to three courses, namely, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The college was rechristened to Dr. PG Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology in 1995. Since then, it is offered undergraduate level programmes in the field of engineering - Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). For admission in the courses, the students should have done 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. Applicants for B Arch have to qualify National Aptitude Test for Architecture or NATA.

Candidates are admitted on the basis of scores in Karnataka CET / COMEDK / AIEEE. A limited number of admissions are offered to NRI and Management candidates.
