Established under the auspices of Bhajarang Educational & Social Trust, a Telugu Linguistic Minority Trust, Bhajarang Engineering College was founded in 2001. Situated in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu, the college is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Chennai and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), New Delhi. Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from the State Board of Tamil Nadu, or any other equivalent, with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than 3 appearances and only first improvement will be considered. Those belonging to other categories, who have passed the qualifying examination in not more than 2 appearances, are eligible to apply.

Selected candidates are offered admission as per the norms set by Anna University of Technology, Chennai. For programs under lateral entry scheme, engineering diploma holders are admitted directly into the second year of B.E/B.Tech.
