B.G.S. College of Education is an initiative of Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust, headed by Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji. The college, located at Vidyaranyapura, in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka, was started in 2007. B.G.S. College of Education is named after Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, a visionary seer, dedicated towards bringing positive changes in the society and motivating the younger generation to gain knowledge. The college is affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shimoga and offers B.Ed course under National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.
