Located in Ambala Cantt, Haryana, Ambala College of Engineering & Applied Research came into existence, with the objective of producing capable technical professionals, who can cope with the ever-emerging trends in the field of engineering. With the approval of Government of Haryana and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the institute conducts full-time undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses in various branches of engineering. The bachelor’s degree course is a four-year program, while the postgraduate course is a two-year program. Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research is affiliated to Kurukshetra University. The college boasts of providing modern facilities to the aspirants.

BE / B Tech
The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics along with any of the following- Chemistry/ Bio Technology/Computer Science/Information Science/ Biology.

For lateral entry into B. Tech II year, the candidate should have passed diploma course in Engineering/ Tech or B. Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the subject of study, with minimum 50% aggregate marks. The candidate possessing Diploma in (Arch) is eligible for lateral entry in B.E (Civil Engineering) program.

Post Graduate:
ME / M Tech
For M. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
The candidate should have done B.E. /B. Tech. in any of the following branches- Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Electrical Engineering or M. Sc. electronics from any AICTE approved Institution or recognized University, with minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.25 CGPA.

For M. Tech in Biotechnology
The candidate should have passed B.E. /B. Tech. in Bio-technology or Bio-medical Engineering or Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines- Biotechnology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Animal Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Biochemistry/Molecular Biology or B. Pharmacy from any AICTE/UGC/ICAR approved Institution with overall minimum 6.25 CGPA or 55% aggregate marks.
Admission Procedure:

BE / B Tech
Admission in 1st year B Tech program is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). For lateral entry the candidate’s online entrance test (OLET LEET (Engineering)) conducted by HSCS scores are considered.

ME / M Tech
Admission is done as per the candidate’s Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) marks. If any of the seats remained vacant then admission could be done through the marks of the candidate in the qualifying examination.
