Acharya Shri Chander Institute of Nursing, in Jammu, was established by Shri Chander Chinar Bada Akhara Udasin Society (Regd.), with the permission of the J&K Government, in the year 1995. The institute is situated within the campus of Hospital and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Indian Nursing Council (INC), Delhi. It is affiliated to Punjab Nurses Registration Council.
 
The main aim of Acharya Shree Chander Institute of Nursing is to create awareness about medical science and skills required in the nursing process in the provision of health care and nursing of patients. Currently, the institution provides undergraduate course in the field of Nursing to its students.
