Academy of Technology (AOT), located in the industrial region of Hooghly, West Bengal, was established in 2003. The college was founded by Ananda Educational Development & Charitable Organization (AEDCO). Within a short span of time, AOT has earned the status of a prestigious institute for its standard of academic education system and campus placement, in the state. The academy is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and all the courses offered by it are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The candidates must pass their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination of W B Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other recognized board/university, with science subjects.
Candidate having a diploma in Engineering/Technology are eligible for lateral entry into the B Tech program.
Post Graduate:
The candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, with Computer or Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects at degree level.
Doctorate:
Candidates must have a Master's degree in the relevant field, from a recognized university.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB JEE) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
Admission is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET), for the 10% seats into the third semester (2nd year) of B Tech program of the institute. 10% of the seats are filled under the management quota as per the directives of the State Government.

Post Graduate:
Admission is done through the Joint Entrance Examination for Computer Application (JECA) conducted by the state government, and 10% students will be admitted under management quota, as per directive of State Government.
