The candidates (all over India), who desire to seek admission into undergraduate medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) programs offered by the NIMS University have to undergo All India Combined Pre Medical/Dental Test, conducted by the university itself. Selection is determined by the candidate’s scores in the entrance examination.
 
Syllabus
Questions of NIMS University All India Combined Pre Medical/Dental Test are from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects studied by the candidate at intermediate level of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).  Few of the topics are enlisted below-
 
Physics
Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Gravitation, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents, Atoms & Nuclei, Communication Systems, Optics, Work, Energy and Power, waves, and Electronic Devices.
 
Chemistry
 Structure of Atom, Chemical Bonding, Bio molecules, Polymers, Chemical Kinetics, States of Matter: gases and liquids, Coordination Compounds, s-Block, p-Block, d and f Block Elements, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Environmental Chemistry, Electrochemistry and Organic compounds containing Nitrogen, etc.
 
Biology
Genetics and evolution, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, ecology, photosynthesis, Cell, Sexual Reproduction, circulation, Biotechnology and its applications, study of fungi, bacteria, etc.
