Syllabus for MP PMT Entrance Exam



Madhya Pradesh Pre Medical Test, also known as MP PMT Exam, is conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, Bhopal. Many private colleges in Madhya Pradesh fill 50% of their seats through this entrance test. All the MP seats in government colleges in the state are also filled through this medical entrance test. MP PMT exam includes undergraduate level courses in the stream of medical, dental and pharmacy.
 
Syllabus
The syllabus for MP PMT entrance test is based on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) subjects of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board. Students can prepare basic fundamentals of the following subjects.
 
Physics
Bohr model of the atom, Elementary ideas of conductor, Electromagnetic induction, Bar magnet, Electrostatic potential, Electric current, Electric power heating effects of currents, Wave nature of light, Reflection, Periodic motion, Units and dimensions, Newton's Laws of motion, Rigid body rotation and conservation of its momentum, Universal law of gravitation, Heat conduction in one dimension, Work energy and power, Elastic collisions, Static and kinetic friction, motion in two dimensions etc.
 
Chemistry
Surface chemistry, Solid State, Chemical analysis, Thermochemistry and Thermodynamics, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetic, Chemical equilibrium, Co-ordination compounds, Transition metals, Comparative study of elements, Chemical bond, Nuclear chemistry, Structure of Atom, Calculation of emperical and molecular formulae of organic compounds, Preparation properties and uses of alkynes, Nomenclature, alcohols and phenols etc. 
Biology (Botany & Zoology)
Structural organization of cell, Cell theory, Mendel's Laws of inheritance, Difference between prokaryote and Eukaryotes, Five kingdom classification, Mineral nutrition-essential elements and their function, Respiration Importance, Enzymes and growth hormones with reference to their classification, Role of plants in human welfare, Ecosystem, Biotechnology, Pesticides-Uses, advantages and hazards, Classification Bionomial and trionomial nomenclature.
