In order to select deserving candidates for admission into Bachelor of Education (B Ed) programme, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) took the initiative to conduct Andhra Ed CET. The students seeking admission into B Ed programme in various colleges of education in Andhra Pradesh have to qualify this exam. Education Common Entrance Test (Andhra Ed CET) is conducted on behalf of APSCHE, by various universities of Andhra Pradesh on rotational basis.
 
Syllabus for Andhra Ed CET
Andhra Ed CET is a very important exam for students who aspire to pursue Bachelor of Education (B Ed) programme from any of the colleges of education in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates must prepare well before appearing in the entrance test. An overview of detailed syllabus of Andhra Ed CET has been given below:
 
In order to prepare for General English section, candidates must prepare Reading Comprehension, Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses & Spelling, Vocabulary, Synonyms & Antonyms, Transformation of Sentences-Simple, Compound & Complex, Voices-Direct Speech & Indirect Speech.
 
For General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude, study of History of India & its neighboring countries, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economics, General Policy & Scientific Research is must. In addition, candidate should be well aware of current events and general knowledge of environment around him/her and its application to the society. Study of ability to communicate, deal with children etc will also help in cracking the examination.
 

In order to prepare for Art section, study of any one of the following subjects (Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, English and Social Studies) is must. The syllabus for these subjects except English, shall be of graduation level from the topics related to the content prescribed for classes VIII, IX & X. Syllabus for English shall cover the curriculum of classes VIII, IX & X and that for the two year intermediate course. It also includes the study of syllabus prescribed for optional English at BA degree level (BA special English)/ML syllabus in English.
