Eligibility for Kerala Law Entrance Exam



Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) is conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala, in order to provide admission to the candidates, who desire to pursue career in law stream. The test is carried out for programs offered in the field of legal education, at both undergraduate as well as postgraduate level.
 
Eligibility
The marks of Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) are accepted by all government law institutions across the state. In order to appear in the entrance examination the candidates are required to follow the eligibility criteria given in the following lines.
 
5 year L.L.B. Course
  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other equivalent Board recognized by Universities in Kerala or Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • The minimum aggregate percentile of marks obtained by the candidate should be 40%. Relaxation of 5% is there for SC/ST candidates.
  • The applicants, who are appearing for qualifying examination, can also apply. 
  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • He/she should be native of Kerala.
  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
 
3 year L.L.B. course 
  • The applicant should be a graduate in any stream from any university of Kerala or University recognized by Universities of Kerala.
  • The candidate should secure minimum of 40% marks in total. Relaxation of 5% is there for SC/ST candidates. 
  • He/she should be a citizen of Indian.  
  • The candidates are required to be native of Kerala.
  • There is no upper age limit in order to seek admission in this program.
 
2 year L.L.M. course
  • The aspirant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.  
  • The applicants should have successfully completed L.L.B program either of 5years or of 3 years of duration conducted by universities of Kerala or university recognized by universities of Kerala.
  • The candidates, who are appearing in the final examination of bachelor’s of law program, are also eligible.
  • There is no age limit for admission into LLM program.
