Eligibility for IMU CET



Every year, Indian Maritime University admits students to its undergraduate courses in maritime engineering through IMU Common Entrance Test, which is popular as IMU CET. The students, who are seeking their admission in these courses, must appear in the entrance test. The University generally conducts entrance test in its centers located at Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Vishakhapatnam.

 
Eligibility
The University conducts admission for only those students, who have fulfilled all the eligibility prerequisites for the IMU Common Entrance Test. The eligibility criteria for the applicants are given below. 
  • The candidates must have passed in Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board.
  • The candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in Science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the qualifying examination.
  • The candidates must have studied English as one of the main subjects in the qualifying examination.
  • The candidates should not be more than 25 years of age at the time of applying for the academic program.
