Eligibility for DU M Ed Entrance Test



The Department of Education, University of Delhi, is entrusted with the responsibility of conducting DU M. Ed Entrance Test, every year, for admission into full-time & part-time Master of Education (M. Ed) course. Scores of the entrance examination, followed by performance in the interview is considered, while selecting candidates.
 
Eligibility for DU M Ed Entrance Test
In order to appear for the entrance examination, the candidates are required to meet any one the eligibility criteria listed below:
The candidates should have passed M.A./M.Sc./M.Com examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with minimum 50% in aggregate, and B. Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 55% or more marks in aggregate.
OR
The candidates are required to pass B.A./B.Sc./B.Com examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 60% marks in the aggregate and B. Ed examination of Delhi University or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 60% or more marks in the aggregate.
OR
Candidates with B.A. /B.Sc. /B. Com degree from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with minimum 50% aggregate marks and B. Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 55% or more marks in the aggregate, are eligible to apply. The candidates should have two years of teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.
OR
Those, who have passed B. El. Ed examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with 60% or more marks in the liberal component and minimum 60% marks in the professional component of the said programme, are eligible.
OR
Candidates, with a pass in B. El. Ed examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum 50% marks in the liberal component and 55% or more marks in the professional component of the said programme with two years of teaching experience in a recognized educational institution, are eligible.
 
 
Those, who are waiting for their result, can also apply. Such candidates are required to submit the relevant mark sheets at the time of admission (OR within seven days after the publication of the result of the examination making them eligible, but not later than 31st August of the admission year).
 

It should be considered that the candidates, who desire to seek admission into M.Ed. part-time programme, need to fulfill the criteria mentioned below, as well in addition to the aforementioned eligibility criteria. The candidate should be full time employed in a recognized local educational/ research institution/foreign mission as professional practitioner in education, in Delhi.
