Eligibility for AIEEE Exam



All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is conducted every year by CBSE in order to admit the students to Engineering, and Architecture/Planning programs at the undergraduate level. The single-stage entrance examination opens the doors for the aspirants to seek admission in reputed Universities and top engineering and architecture Institutions across the country.
 
Eligibility
All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is considered as pre-requisite condition to seek admission into B. Tech/ B.E/ B. Arch. / B. Planning program in numerous universities and institutions all over India. The entrance examination tests the abilities of the aspirants in particular disciplines studied by them at 10+2 level. General eligibility criteria for AIEEE are given below.
 
  • The upper age limit to appear in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is 25 years. Relaxation of 5 years is there for SC/ST/PH candidates. A scholar can attempt the entrance examination consecutively for three years only.
  • The applicants who wish to appear in this entrance examination have to pass senior secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized Board. Those waiting for their 10+2 results can also apply.
  • The candidates, who are supposed to pass higher secondary examination next year, are not eligible to appear in current entrance examination.
 
For B. Tech/ B.E
The candidate should have studied physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following - Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, and Biology as optional subject at 10+2 level.
 
For B. Arch. / B. Planning program
The aspirants must have studied mathematics as a mandatory subject and should secure minimum 50% marks in total at 10+2 level.
