The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences (TITS) Bhiwani is
one of the leading institutes imparting training in textile technology
in India. The institute was established by the great entrepreneur and
visionary, Dr. G D Birla, in 1943 under the auspices of the Birla
Education Trust. TITS Bhiwani also has a textile factory attached to it
to impart practical training to the students.
Over a period of time TITS Bhiwani has added a number of other branches
of engineering apart from textile engineering among its academic
programs. Presently, TITS Bhiwani offers 4-year B.Tech programs in
Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Computer Engineering, Electronics
& Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, Information
Technology, and Fashion & Apparel. The total intake capacity for B.
Tech programs is 320. Candidates for B. Tech programs are selected
through All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE
and Common Engineering Entrance Test (CEET), Haryana.
TITS Bhiwani also offers M. Tech program in Textile Technology.
Candidates seeking admission to the program have to qualify the Graduate
Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The self financing /sponsored
students must have B.Tech (Textile Technology) degree with atleast 55%
marks in the aggregate and a minimum two year full Time working
experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational and
research institute / any government department or Govt / autonomous
organizations in the relevant field.
Besides the above programs, TITS Bhiwani also offers MBA program.
