Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) Patiala is one
of the top engineering colleges of India. The institute was established
in 1956. Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of the
three Institutes located in the 250 acre Thapar Technology Campus (TTC)
in Patiala. Since its establishment TIET has built a strong reputation
for itself. In 1985, Thapar Engineering College was granted the status
of Deemed University by the University Grants Commission.
