Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology
Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) Patiala is one
of the top engineering colleges of India. The institute was established
in 1956. Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of the
three Institutes located in the 250 acre Thapar Technology Campus (TTC)
in Patiala. Since its establishment TIET has built a strong reputation
for itself. In 1985, Thapar Engineering College was granted the status
of Deemed University by the University Grants Commission.
Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology offers a variety of
undergraduate, postgraduate, and Doctorate level programs. Undergraduate
programs offered by TIET include: B.Tech (Biotechnology), and B.E.
(Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science &
Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, lnstrumentation and Control Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering). Admissions to the undergraduate programs are made on the
basis of performance in AIEEE.
