MNNIT Allahabad

Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad is one of the premier technological institutes of India. The institute was earlier known as Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College. Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology was established in year 1961 as a joint enterprise of Govt. of India and Govt. of U.P. in accordance with the scheme of establishment of REC. The institute was accorded the status of Deemed University on June 26, 2002 and was re-christened as Motilal Nehru National Institute of technology.

MNNIT Allahabad admits nearly 500 students to undergraduate programs and another 150 students to postgraduate programs every year.

Various academic programs offered by MNNIT Allahabad are:

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech): MNNIT conducts B.Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Production & Industrial Engineering. The program duration is 4 years/ 8 semesters. The admissions to the undergraduate programme (B.Tech.) in various fields are held through All India Engineering Entrance Examination (A.I.E.E.E) conducted by C.B.S.E. The candidates who have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply. Those appearing in 10+2 are also eligible to apply.

Master of Technology (M.Tech): M.Tech programs are offered by all the Engineering Departments of MNNIT. Candidates are admitted through GATE. For M. Tech. in Comp. Sc., and M.Tech. Software Engg. there is be an additional entrance test. Apart from this, there is a provision for admissions of college teachers through the Quality improvement Programme and candidates serving in the Industry, sponsored by their employers. All M.Tech. Degree Programme are of 4 semesters duration.

Master of Management Studies: A candidate with bachelor's degree in any discipline from any University is eligible to apply. Applicants are required to appear in CAT, being conducted by IIMs. Short-listed candidates, on basis of CAT are called for GD & Interview at MNNIT, Allahabad.

Besides the above programs, MNNIT Allahabad also offers Doctoral, Post-Doctoral Programme & Management Development Programs.
