IETE (Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers)
The membership examination of IETE is recognized by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for employment to posts and services under the central government, in the appropriate fields. IETE offers programs in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology disciplines. Programs offered by IETE 1. DIPIETE: IETE offers DIPIETE in (1) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and (2) Computer Science & Engineering. DIPIETE examinations are conducted twice in a year i.e. in June and December. An applicant applying for DIPIETE program should be at least 14 year old. He / she should have passed Class X Board examination and have working experience in the relevant field or studying for higher qualification with Physics / Mathematics / Engineering / Computer Science. In order to become eligible for appearing in DIPIETE examination a candidate need to register himself / herself as student member with IETE. A candidate needs to apply at least 4 months in advance before taking DIPIETE examination. DIPIETE consists of two sections: Section A & Section B. The scheme of examination is as follows: Section A Part I : Four subjects (All Compulsory) Part II : Four Subjects (All Compulsory) Section B Part I : Four Subjects (All Compulsory) Part II : Three Subjects (1 Compulsory + 2 electives) Practical Examination - Compulsory Project Work - Compulsory 2. AMIETE AMIETE is a graduate level examination equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech. program. The AMIETE examination is held in the following engineering streams:
A candidate applying for AMIETE should not be less than
18 years for age. He/she should have passed 10 + 2 examination with
Physics and Mathematics, conducted by any recognized board / university
or Diploma in Engineering / Technology covering Physics and Mathematics
of 10 + 2 level and work experience in relevant field. AMIETE examination is divided in two subsections: Section A and Section B with 20 theory papers and a project work. Section A: Part I (6 subjects all compulsory) Part II (5 Subjects all compulsory) Section B: Part I (5 Subjects all compulsory) Part II (4 subjects - 2 compulsory and 2 electives) Project Work: Compulsory. Students can complete project work after completing 14 compulsory papers of Section A and B. The pass marks for project work is 50%. 3. ALCCS (Advanced Level Course In Computer Science): Advanced Level Course in Computer Sciences (ALCCS) offered by IETE is a three-year program equivalent to M.Tech. in Computer Science. To be eligible for ALCCS, a candidate must be: B.E or B.Tech; Masters in Maths / Mathematical Sciences / Economic Sciences / Bio Sciences / Physical Sciences / Computer Science / Computer Applications. Final selection is done on the basis of Entrance Test and Interview. |
