EAMCET

EAMCET is the abbreviation for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, to select candidates for admission to professional and technical colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who successfully clear EAMCET get admission into first semester program of engineering / agricultural / architecture / medical courses.

Eligibility: Candidate must have cleared Intermediate Examination or appeared in 2nd year Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.

Those who have passed Diploma examination or appeared in 3rd year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. or its equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch, courses.

Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course are eligible for Engineering (B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Tech (Ag.Engg) / B.Tech (Dairying)/ B.Tech (FST) (MPC) / B.Sc (CA&BM) (MPC) and B. Pharm (MPC) courses.

Candidates with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate are eligible for Agriculture (B.V.Sc., and A.H/B.Sc (Agr) /B.Sc (Hort)/ B.F.Sc/ B.Tech (FST) (Bi.P.C)/ B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.C) / Medical (MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BNYS) and B. Pharm (Bi.P.C) courses
