CEE or Combined Entrance Examination for Delhi is conducted by Delhi
University for admissions to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree
courses in Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhas
Institute of Technology (NSIT) New Delhi. In common parlance the exam is
popularly known as Delhi College of Engineering entrance exam. Eighty
five (85%) per cent of seats in DCE and NSIT are reserved for students
of Delhi and are filled through CEE Delhi. Remaining 15% of seats are
reserved for outsiders and are filled through AIEEE conducted by CBSE.
Eligibility: A candidate must have passed Senior School
Certificate Examination (12 Years Course) of CBSE or Indian School
Certificate Examination (12-years Course) of the Council for Indian
School Certificate Examination from any school / college located within
the National Capital Territory of Delhi. He / she must have secured 60%
or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST are allowed 10% concession of marks in
the minimum eligibility requirements and those from Defence Quota and
Physically Handicapped are allowed 5% concession of marks in the minimum
eligibility requirements. The applicant must be 17 years of age on or
before the 1st October of the year in which he/she seeks admission.
Test Pattern: The exam consists of objective type questions in
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the test is 3 hours
and there are a total of 180 questions, 60 each in Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics. The syllabus of the exam is same as that of class XI
and class XII of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) course.
