Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur (IICD) is an autonomous institute established by the Government of Rajasthan for development of the handicrafts sector & industry. The institute is spread over 23173.84 sq. meters of land in the Jhalana Institutional Area, Jaipur. IICD is playing a vital role in the development of the handicrafts sector & industry

IICD offers a 4 Year Under-Graduate Diploma Program and 2 year Post-Graduate Program in (1) Craft Design, (2) Craft Merchandising & Marketing, (3) Craft Technology. IICD also offers professional design consultancy and training through customized programs. The institute also conducts research in craft related issues, especially documentation.

The curriculum of the programs introduces students to a range of basic design concepts and skills to create a strong foundation in the discipline of design. The focus of the programs is on fieldwork and use of information technology in design education and management. The program in Craft Design offers broad specialization in either soft materials (Textiles, Leather, Paper, etc.) or hard materials (Wood, Metal, Stone, Ceramics, Glass, etc.) is undertaken.
